Confessions Of a Congressman: Legalizing Prostitution

In today's world the United States of America holds a $12 trillion debt. Regardless of your political views or sexual orientation, it is clear that our economy needs a little fixing. A little stimulation so to speak. There are over 300 million people living in the United States; quite possibly America's most valuable resource. Let it be proposed here today that prostitution should be legalized in the United States and each exported prostitute should cost $140,000.
Man and Woman alike must be sold to fix our declining economy.
For too long have we sat silent and allowed such economic treachery to occur. But now we can save our economy with the exportation of prostitutes---or War Whoreses (Pronounced horses). These War Whoreses will pick us up out of the current economic slump and bring us back to the top. Where we belong. We must toss away our morals and our value; Prostitution will help, will revive our economy.

I would like to close with a passage from the Holy Bible: Leviticus 3-1-2:
"If it must be done, it must be done... Sell your clothes, sell your crop and cattle. And if it must be done sell your sons and daughters into unholy bondage for the rest of their natural lives."
God has clearly deemed it necessary to sell/export human beings into the sex trade.

It must be done.
But so we can retain some semblance of morality, Mahatma Gandhi states “the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” Enough said.

  1. I'm sorry, but your statement about how God deems it necessary to sell/export human beings into the sex trade is ridiculous. Just because it is in the bible does not mean it is God's word and law. Although if you are really going to look at it from your viewpoint of the bible, then try looking at say... the Ten Commandments? Number seven I believe: You shall not commit adultery.

  2. The ten commandments are maintained today as an appeal to tradition.
If honest consideration were taken, you'd notice that they aren't useful or even applicable in modern society.
With religious plurality as a social norm, the rise of feminism, and the widespread reform movements towards the death penalty, acceptance of plea bargaining, increased work hours, and wealth equity (aka taxes), you see that they just don't work anymore.

  3. I'm sure many would stand behind me and argue that adultery is a controversial issue today in modern society. Keep in mind you are also saying that issues such as honoring your mother and father, stealing, and murder are not "applicable in modern society." While some of these issues are becoming more accepted than previous years saying they aren't useful is a bit of an over exaggeration.

  4. Well, every other life form on earth performs adultery because it is natural and Darwinistic to want to spread out ones genes to a large area. For instance, Tiger Woods is not being infelicitous but only following his natural instincts and God given natural rights to spread his seed. Life forms are supposed to have many mates and so by restricting ourselves with "marriage" we are giving Mother Nature the finger.

  5. Whoever said that adultery would be legalized? Prostitution need not extend to married individuals. Instead of minors and college students blowing all of their money on illegal drugs and alcohol, this would provide a healthy boost to the current economic situation AS WELL as satisfying man's instincts, completing himself (applies to women as well). Furthermore, God's Commandments are general guidelines to follow. They are not the rules that universally perpetuate society, as not everyone believes in God. Rather than forcing commandments upon disbelievers, it would be better to follow the rules of human society to provide an organized community. Rational prostitution in no way contradicts this, and if need be, laws and punishments may be implemented to prevent adultery in countries that value such morals so highly.

  7. lol...the article quotes Leviticus 3: 1-2 as saying "
"If it must be done, it must be done... Sell your clothes, sell your crop and cattle. And if it must be done sell your sons and daughters into unholy bondage for the rest of their natural lives."
    "...
I just looked it up in my actual Bible and it says "When his offering is a sacrifice of a peace offering, if he offers it of the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the lord.
2 And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of meeting; and Aaron's sons, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood all around on the altar."

Way to falsely misquote the Bible for your own selfish ends....Congressman FAIL!

  8. Technically since the Bible is written by man and man interprets each to his own, different publishings can have different interpretations. The King James Version is vastly different from modern Christian writings.
The subject of the Bible and the meaning of life and bondage may be touchy, but the denial of the sad state of the economy is an unfortunate step into oblivion. Prostitution is necessary to "hold us in the manner in which we are accustomed." The American way is to do what 'you' need to do to get by. We need to legalize prostitution and do it.
